The core idea behind Angle Protocol is to make DeFi more inclusive by creating stablecoins pegged to a wide range of Forex currencies and assets, rather than just the USD. While the power of this single idea has been made evident by the rapid growth of agEUR, our global vision goes beyond forex stablecoins. We want to build money legos used not only for farming across blockchains, but as a primary currency of exchange. This is necessary to make truly decentralized financial infrastructure a reality.

Layer 2 and sidechains therefore play an important role in achieving our vision, given that they allow Angle stablecoins to be exchanged without high transaction fees. As such, we plan to bridge agEUR on Polygon very soon, followed by almost all other sidechains and L2s afterwards.

To enable everyone to leverage streaming payments with agEUR, we’d like to announce Superfluid will be one of our launching partners on Polygon. Short after agEUR is live on Polygon, it will be possible to wrap agEUR with the Superfluid streaming standard, making agEUR usable for payroll, subscriptions, automated investing and much more!
